Hello there, My name is Aishwar, and I’ve been blogging for seven years. Today, I’d want to share an important lesson I acquired along the journey.

I’ll explain the critical contrast between blogging as a business and blogging as a hobby.
What comes to mind when you see or hear the word blogging?

Is it meant to help people? Is it sharing your knowledge? Is it only for financial gain?

Before considering whether blogging is a hobby or a job, you must first grasp what it is and why you need to do it.

If you already understand what blogging is, that’s great. If not, you can learn blogging from scratch right here.

Blogging as a Hobby

Blogging as a Hobby

Everyone should begin blogging as a hobby. When you first start writing about something you like it does not seem like work. You enjoy creating blogs and sharing your expertise with people.

On the other side, if you establish a blog merely to complain about them, you will find it challenging to keep up with your blogging endeavors.

That is why, as a hobby, everyone should establish a blog.

Blogging is not something you can fake; when your viewers read your material, they will see that you did not put much work into making the article friendly.

Sure, everyone wants to make money from their blog, and I do as well, but that doesn’t mean I can write material to generate content and make money.

You must genuinely develop an interest in your area to avoid feeling like you are doing tedious labor.

The key to blogging success is to get obsessed with your subject. When you’re enthusiastic about something, you’ll want to write more about it, try to cover every part of it, love aiding people through your blog, and build a real community around it.

Does it sound right? That’s how significant your interest in your niche is; everything will happen in its own time; you have to be patient and stay loyal to yourself and your blog’s specialty, and you have to fall in love with it.

When you enjoy your blog’s specialty, creating material for it becomes a hobby, and we all enjoy hobbies.

What could be better than getting paid to write about something you enjoy?

If you love your blog, it will love you back.

You must continue to nurture the plant, and when the time comes, your blog will reward you with money, community, and everything else it deserves as a fruit.

So, when you begin to see results from your efforts on your side project blog, you begin to put in more effort since more effort brings higher output.

You have to fall in love with the process, whether success or failure, since everything teaches us something in some manner.

That is why everyone should begin blogging as a hobby and fall in love with their blog’s niche.

That is the success mantra for blogging.

Blogging as a Business

Blogging as a Hobby

As I stated at the outset of this article, there are no substantial distinctions between blogging as a hobby and blogging as a business.

However, when we discuss blogging as a business, we mainly discuss business values such as profitability, return on investment, etc.

When you blog for a living, you won’t usually post anything that doesn’t assist your blog in some manner. However, if you blog as a hobby, you will write it anyhow since it is your interest and you like writing about it.

When we blog for business, it makes no difference if the blog’s niche or topic interests us; we focus on our blog from a commercial standpoint.

When you blog for a living, you still need to grasp a little about your expertise since it will be tough to generate posts on it if you don’t, and you will ultimately give up blogging.

Don’t get me wrong, some business-focused blogs are highly successful, but they are few and far between.

And many businesses have a blog section on their website to reach hundreds of thousands of people organically, and a blog is a terrific location for content marketing.

If you write for business, you must either often post fresh content or employ someone excited about the subject matter of your blog to keep it alive.

Like a fun blog, a business blog doesn’t upload whatever comes to mind, it lays emphasis on what is being posted and why. The caliber of the photographs used, the marketing efforts of the blog content, and many other elements are vital to business blogs.

Conclusion of Blogging as a Hobby Vs. Blogging as a Business

Blogging as a Hobby Blogging as a Business
• You Write about your hobby on your blog. • You write about topics related to your business or niche
• You write because it is your hobby and you love writing about it. • You Write because it relates to your business; writing those blog posts will help your business grow or make you money.
• Hobby Bloggers are not so much focused on Money. They enjoy the process and love writing about topics in their niche. • People who do blogging for business, their whole focus is money, and they refrain from writing something that’s not going to make them money or make their brand grow.
• Hobby Bloggers are not very serious about their blogs, but this doesn’t mean they ignore them. • People who do blogging for business are serious about their blogs and invest a lot of money in their blogs, like investing in a premium theme, good hosting, proper tools, etc.
• Hobby Bloggers can write endless articles about their niche because they love doing it and don’t fall short on ideas to write something. • Business bloggers can fall short on ideas because they don’t genuinely love their niche. If you don’t love your niche, you will naturally refrain from researching the niche of your blog, and you will not write articles because writing something you don’t love will feel like homework that you have to do forcefully.

If this is your first blog, I recommend starting with a hobby blog and writing about something you are passionate about. It will ultimately turn into a hobby, and everything will slow down. If your hobby blog makes money, you may gradually transform it into a full-time business blog.

However, if you’re an experienced blogger, you may create a site in whatever niche you like and employ writers to write for it.
