How to add ContentShake from the Semrush App Center?
1. Go to Semrush’s main site. And click on Semrush App Center on the menu above.
2. ContentShake app will open and if you want to use it for free first, you can simply log in with your Semrush ID or log in with your gmail id.
3. After logging, ContentShake will open up and you need to describe the nature of the business to help it write your content.
4. Once, you enter the keyword for your business, it will also give you suggestions of the tags related to that keyword. Select the most used ones or the most suitable ones.
5. Now, the dashboard of ContentShake will open and you may start writing the content.
During this stage, ContentShake will initially offer content ideas. Please note that on the free plan, the number of ideas may be limited.
However, on the paid plan, you’ll have access to a wider range of ideas, as shown in the screenshot below.
Additionally, the “add your idea” option allows you to input your own idea instead of selecting from the suggestions provided by the tool.
This feature provides flexibility and empowers you to choose the content direction that best aligns with your goals and preferences.

It is easy to use ContentShake. These five steps will guide you through accessing the Semrush App Center.
1. Set Up Your Page
To begin using ContentShake, start by entering keywords that describe your business.
The tool will then provide suggested related tags based on your input. Select the topics that are relevant to your business, and click on the “Start writing” box to proceed.
2. Choose Your Ideas
The next step is for ContentShake to provide a list of topics. The search intent and traffic potential of a topic can be viewed by clicking on it. Article ideas are provided for each topic in the app.
Click the Start Writing button after choosing an idea.
Click on My own idea to create your own topics.
If you don’t want to see certain ideas again, you can hide them by clicking the “hide” icon (a crossed-out eye).
The number of topics you have access to will vary depending on your subscription plan (free or paid). The topics are sorted based on their volume and difficulty level. Every week, new topic suggestions will be provided to you.
It’s important to note that once you use an article idea, it cannot be used again, and it will no longer be suggested in the future. This ensures that your content remains fresh and unique.
3. Write
Once you have selected your topic, ContentShake will generate an outline for your blog post. This outline includes a title, subheadings, an introduction, and a conclusion. You have the flexibility to edit the outline and add your own text.
Alternatively, you can use the “Compose with AI” button to automatically generate paragraphs of text for your article. Free users have access to three paragraphs per article, while paid users enjoy unlimited AI suggestions for their content.

Each keyword is accompanied by the following metrics:
Efficiency: Indicates the difficulty of ranking for the keyword.
High efficiency: Difficult to rank for but potentially brings significant traffic.
Medium efficiency: Relatively easier to rank for and can generate a fair amount of traffic.
Specific efficiency: Describes niche keywords with lower search volume and competition, suitable for targeting specific audiences.
Hover over the Efficiency ranking to see further explanations and additional metrics:
Volume: The number of monthly searches for the keyword.
Difficulty: The level of difficulty in ranking for the keyword (higher numbers indicate greater difficulty).
If you decide to use a keyword, simply click the plus sign, and it will be added to your Target keyword list.
In addition, you can add your own keywords by clicking the “Add keyword” button under the article headline.
Within the Structure section, you will find the proposed heading structure for your article. This structure is generated by AI or based on your competitors’ articles.
Here, you have the flexibility to add or remove headings as needed.
Additionally, you can explore the article structures of your competitors. This allows you to delve into the actual text under each subheader and gain insights from their content organization.
With Structure by AI, you can quickly see what ideas to include in your content with bullet points.
In addition, you can use the AI rewriter integrated into the editor to rewrite any text you copied from the suggestions.
The Images section offers a selection of royalty-free images that you can include in your article. By clicking the plus sign, you can easily add these images to enhance your content.
